3rd position in the ICC Men's Test Player Rankings

Harry Brook has reached a career-best 3rd position in the ICC Men's Test Player Rankings following his century against the West Indies in the 2nd Test match. Joe Root also climbed to the 2nd position after scoring his 32nd Test century. These achievements highlight the significant gains made by England players in the latest rankings update.

Harry Brook:

Jumped to 3rd position, achieving a career-best ranking, surpassing Babar Azam, Daryl Mitchell, Steve Smith, and Rohit Sharma, Third-highest run-scorer in the ongoing series with 195 runs from three innings at an average of 65.

Joe Root:

Climbed to the 2nd position, closing in on No. 1-ranked Kane Williamson, improved by 12 rating points, now just seven points behind Williamson, notched his 32nd Test century and became the 8th highest run-scorer in red-ball cricket.

Ollie Pope:

Moved up eight places to reach the 21st ranking after his first-innings century.

Ben Duckett:

Advanced six spots to attain the 16th position.

England Pacer:

Jumped four places to re-enter the top 20 bowler rankings after a six-wicket match haul.

Shoaib Bashir:

Improved 18 places to reach the 53rd position after a five-wicket haul in the 2nd innings.

West Indies Players

Kraigg Brathwaite:

Moved up two places to the 40th position.

Joshua Da Silva and Kavem Hodge:

Reached the 61st and 75th spots, respectively, after scoring centuries.

Jayden Seales:

Gained 10 places, coming in at 34th after taking six wickets in the Nottingham match.

Rohit Sharma dropped by one position in the rankings following the performances of other top players.
