A groin injury has left Delhi Capitals without a key player

Kuldeep Yadav missed the previous two games of Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League 2024 due to a groin niggle. According to ESPNcricinfo, he has been advised to rest and there is no confirmation of his availability for the remaining matches of the 17th season.

Kuldeep is currently travelling with the squad and is in Mumbai where they will take on Mumbai Indians on April 7 at the Wankhede Stadium.

Kuldeep took three wickets in matches against Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals but was unable to play against Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders. The Capitals defeated the defending champions but were defeated by KKR.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Ajit Agarkar-led selection committee will monitor his progress. He is one of the main spinners for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, which will be played on June 1 in the West Indies and USA.

Kuldeep had a successful five-match Test series against England before the Indian Premier League. He took 19 wickets, including a five-wicket haul in the fifth and final Test in Dharamsala, for which he was named Player of the Match. Kuldeep did not play in the first Test in Hyderabad.

After Sunday's game against the five-time champions, DC's next match is against Lucknow Super Giants on April 12.
