Sunil Gavaskar shared his plans with Chennai Super Kings bowlers on how to dismiss Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav in the highly anticipated Indian Premier League 2024 match. Rohit and Suryakumar are expected to be Mumbai's key batters against the defending champions at the Wankhede Stadium.
CSK speedster Mustafizur Rahman has performed well so far and could pose a threat to the hosts on April 14. The Bangladesh pacer has dismissed Rohit five times in 20 international games since 2015.
“Rohit and SKY like the ball coming off the surface. However, if a bowler balls a slower delivery, it becomes difficult for them to middle it. This is why they look to play from outside the off-stump and are often dismissed while trying to play sweep shots. This ploy is good against them.”
Gavaskar also commended Mustafizur for his impressive bowling. At an economy rate of 8, he has taken 9 wickets.
