Abhishek Sharma delivers another match-winning performance for SRH and receives a second warning from Yuvraj Singh

Sunrisers Hyderabad's (SRH) Abhishek Sharma's explosive batting unleashed a devastating onslaught on the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) bowlers in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match on Friday, April 5. Opening the innings while chasing a competitive target, Abhishek provided SRH with a blistering start. However, despite his magnificent knock, legendary Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh was not happy with Abhishek's shot selection.

Abhishek Sharma played a fiery innings of 37 runs off just 12 balls to help SRH chase down a target of 166 against CSK at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. He was dismissed playing a poor shot in the third over off Deepak Chahar. Yuvraj Singh had criticized Abhishek's dismissal in the match against Mumbai Indians and later shared a meme on Twitter (X) critiquing his shot selection despite the excellent start.

Yuvraj has reprimanded Abhishek Sharma for his ordinary dismissal on more than one occasion. Previously, after Abhishek scored a rapid 50 off 16 balls against Mumbai Indians, Yuvraj praised his innings but also criticized the manner in which he was dismissed.

Despite Abhishek's dismissal, Sunrisers Hyderabad still managed to defeat the defending champions CSK by six wickets, marking their second consecutive win in the tournament and placing them fifth in the points table.

Abhishek's quick runs during the powerplay overs laid a crucial foundation for SRH's victory. Later, Moeen Ali dismissed Aiden Markram shortly after he reached fifty and then sent Shahbaz Ahmed back to the pavilion, continuing his successful bowling spell.

Sunrisers Hyderabad will now concentrate on their upcoming IPL game against Punjab Kings on April 9 at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Cricket Stadium in Punjab.
