The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) announced the schedule for this year's Women's T20 Asia Cup, starting on July 19 in Dambulla, Sri Lanka.
India will defend their Asia Cup title against Pakistan in their opening game, while the UAE will face Nepal in the tournament opener.
Eight top teams from the continent are divided into two groups of four. India, in Group B, will compete with Pakistan, UAE, and Nepal. Hosts Sri Lanka lead Group A alongside Bangladesh, Thailand, and Malaysia.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals, with the final set for July 28.
India, the competition's most successful team with seven titles, defeated Sri Lanka in the 2022 final, winning by eight wickets. Pakistan was the only team to defeat India in that campaign.
The tournament serves as a preparation for the 2024 Women's T20 World Cup in Bangladesh this October.
