After a disappointing seven-wicket defeat to Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their last match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will now take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in their next encounter, as KKR suffered their first defeat to CSK at Chepauk after three straight wins.
The two-time champions will now host LSG in their fifth match of the season at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Sunday, April 14, in the afternoon match of the double-header.
Prior to their loss to CSK, the Knight Riders had been a dominant force in the ongoing 17th edition of the cash-rich event. After beating SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their opening match, they registered wins over Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Delhi Capitals (DC) in their next two outings.
KKR will be mindful of the mistakes they made last time out when they host LSG. The visitors are on a three-match winning streak and would be motivated to register a fourth win to keep themselves in the top half of the points table.
