Big controversy for SRH All-Rounder, who was summoned by police after the death of a model

SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) all-rounder Abhishek Sharma is embroiled in a controversy. He was recently called in by local police following the suicide of Tania Singh, a popular model from Surat.

According to a report in Gujarat Tak, Tania, 28, was involved in fashion designing and modelling. With over 10,000 followers on Instagram, her bio on the platform mentioned her roles as a DJ, make-up artist and model.

Following her suicide, an investigation was launched by the Surat police. During the investigation, SRH player Abhishek Sharma's name came up as he had been in touch with Tania Singh for some time.

Though Tania and Abhishek had no recent contact, the police summoned the all-rounder for questioning as he had been her friend in the past.

According to Gujarat Tak, the model returned home late last night and tragically took her own life. 

Abhishek Sharma featured for Punjab in the 2023-24 Ranji Trophy season, but they were unfortunately knocked out at the group stage. The all-rounder played four matches and scored 199 runs at an average of 28.42. He also contributed with his left-arm spin, taking three wickets.
