The incident began when, at the hotel in Chennai where the Super Kings team was staying, Rivaba Jadeja posted a photo of herself posing in front of a poster of her husband. Her husband, Ravindra Jadeja, promptly replied to the post with a playful request for her to go back to their room.

Referring to Rajinikanth's latest Tamil hit Jailer, Jadeja wrote, "Mera hukum hai room aao jaldi" (It's my order, come to the room quickly). This led Super Kings fans to quickly make the connection between Jadeja's post and the viral movie quote.

Jadeja was preparing for the big clash against the Gujarat Titans on March 26 in Chennai.
