Chennai Super Kings' young star pays a heartfelt tribute to the GOAT MS Dhoni

Chennai Super Kings had a successful start to the 2024 Indian Premier League season, having defeated both Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans. Ruturaj Gaikwad has taken over as captain of the five-time champions and has impressed thus far, with the guidance of the experienced MS Dhoni.

Dhoni's exceptional wicket-keeping skills have been on display, as he has taken brilliant catches and executed stumpings and run-outs.

The video posted by the defending champions shows Dhoni talking to young batter Sameer Rizvi during a net session.

Sameer also shared a photo of himself with his senior teammate and wrote: 

"Soaking in all the wisdom from the GOAT. From watching him conjure magic on the TV screen to sharing the dressing room with him, a dream come true indeed!”

Rizvi was purchased by Chennai Super Kings for INR 8.4 crore in the IPL 2024 auction. Sameer hit a six on his first ball in the IPL and later hit Rashid Khan for a couple more sixes in the game against GT.
