CSK batsman Daryl Mitchell recently showed some kindness with a thoughtful gesture at a CSK training session. Mitchell was practising at the HPCA stadium in Dharamsala ahead of a match against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) when his powerful pull shot accidentally hit a fan's iPhone.
As soon as Mitchell realised what had happened, he apologised to the fan. His shot not only broke the phone but also seemed to injure the fan, who collapsed on the seat and grabbed his hand.
He walked over to the fan and gave him a pair of his autographed batting gloves. This thoughtful gesture lifted the fan's spirits and saved him from a potentially unpleasant experience.
Mitchell has enjoyed his time with the defending champions and recently spoke of how much he is enjoying the challenge of adapting to his current position with the Super Kings:
“Playing international cricket at a later age has been a blessing for me because it has given me the opportunity to develop as a player on the pitch as well as off the pitch. I was able to learn my craft for a while at the domestic level. And to be able to accomplish that, in my opinion, is still another true blessing.”
