Delhi Capitals' star player has returned home due to a hamstring injury
Injuries to key players have significantly impacted the Delhi Capitals. Kuldeep Yadav missed two matches but managed to take three wickets upon his return against Lucknow Super Giants. Currently, Mitchell Marsh is suffering from a hamstring injury and has returned to Australia for treatment.
He has a tear in his right hamstring. As the captain of Australia's T20I team, he left after discussing with the Delhi Capitals' owners and management. However, it is still unconfirmed whether he will participate in the remaining games of the league.
He played his last match against Kolkata Knight Riders on April 5th and missed the following two games against Mumbai Indians and LSG. His highest score this season was against the Rajasthan Royals, where he scored 23 runs, but unfortunately, his franchise lost the match. He was dismissed for a duck in Delhi's 106-run defeat against KKR.
Marsh has been outstanding for Australia and was awarded the Allan Border Medal for being the country's best male cricket player.
Since January 2023, the 32-year-old has scored 1,954 international runs in 38 matches at an average of 50.10, including three centuries, and has also taken ten wickets.
DC is also concerned about opener David Warner's finger injury. He sustained the injury while attempting to catch the ball in the match against LSG.
