Former India captain Aakash Chopra has praised the pacer for his outstanding performance in the tournament.
He has taken 14 wickets in 9 matches. Chopra compared him to Jasprit Bumrah:
“Jasprit Bumrah has a good slower one and this season I have been impressed by Harshit Rana’s slower one. He has made good use of his stock delivery.”
Chopra also condemned the umpire for sanctioning Harshit's flying kiss:
“He was fined and banned for one match for spreading love. You can’t penalise a player for giving a flying kiss to a rival player.”
