Former player becomes the batting coach and mentor
Dinesh Karthik is returning to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in a new role as the batting coach and mentor. The Bengaluru-based Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise announced the appointment on July 1 through a social media post. Karthik, who recently retired from all forms of cricket after the IPL 2024 season, will take up this important role to guide and mentor the team.
During IPL 2024, Karthik had an impressive performance, scoring 326 runs at a strike rate of 187.35. RCB expressed their enthusiasm for having Karthik back in a new capacity, emphasising his deep connection with the team and its fanbase.
