In the IPL 2024 match between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Wankhede Stadium, Jasprit Bumrah put up an exceptional performance. The speedster was on a hat-trick twice and did not give any chance to the batters. He had a dream start as Virat Kohli was dismissed after scoring just 3 runs off nine balls.
Bumrah returned and took two wickets each in an over to complete his second fifer in the tournament's history. Former Indian cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu compared Jasprit to Waqar Younis.
Jasprit bowled a toe-crunching yorker to Mahipal Lomror. The batsman had no answer to the bowler's brilliance and fell for a golden duck. The batsman was in pain and was seen checking his foot after being hit by the fast bowler.

Bumrah took the wickets of Virat (3), Faf du Plessis (61), Lomror (0), Saurav Chauhan (9), and Vijaykumar Vyshak. Former India player Najot Singh Sidhu praised the pacer, saying, 'He delivered a Yorker like Waqar Younis’ trademark delivery. The batter couldn’t do anything.' Bumrah is a champion bowler, as taking five wickets in a T20 match is no easy feat.
Despite Bumrah's impressive bowling, RCB scored 196/8 in 20 overs. Dinesh Karthik played aggressively, scoring 53 runs off 23 balls with five fours and four sixes. Rajat Patidar also contributed with 50 runs off 26 balls, including four fours and three sixes.
