Ignoring Ben Duckett's comments, Yashasvi Jaiswal remains focused on the delivery

Yashasvi Jaiswal, India's star opener and the Player of the Series award winner in the recently concluded Test series against England, has commented on the remarks made by Ben Duckett during the tour.

After the third day of the Rajkot Test, where Jaiswal scored the first of his two double-hundreds in the series, England opener Duckett acknowledged Jaiswal's impressive batting performance against them.

Duckett's comments received significant backlash, with pundits such as Nasser Hussain criticizing his perspective. In a recent interview with the Indian Express, the opener declined to respond to Duckett's remark and instead emphasized his focus on letting his performance on the field speak for itself.

Jaiswal was pleased with his performance against England but stressed the importance of staying focused on the team's objectives. He takes each match as it comes:

“It’s a great feeling, I’m happy but I want to be more focused so that I can do well for my team. I’m not thinking about anything today. I want to take one match at a time. I don’t know what will happen tomorrow, so I don’t want to think too much.”

Jaiswal is scheduled to display his skills for the Rajasthan Royals during the IPL 2024 season, commencing on March 22.
