India was crowned as the first champions of WCL 2024

In the final of the World Championship Of Legends 2024, India emerged as the champions by defeating fierce rivals Pakistan. Led by Yuvraj Singh, India secured a convincing victory by 5 wickets at Edgbaston. The match saw a chase of 157 runs, which India achieved without much trouble. Irfan Pathan hit the winning boundary in the final over off Sohail Tanvir, sealing the win for the 'Men in Blue'. With this victory, the thrilling inaugural edition of the league comes to a close.

Pakistan, opting to bat first, struggled against India's strong bowling attack and could only manage to score 160 runs. India, with a combination of spin and pace, made it difficult for Pakistan's batsmen to score freely. The intensity of the India-Pakistan rivalry was evident in the performances of Vinay Kumar and Irfan Pathan, who displayed their emotions after taking key wickets.

In the chase, India got off to a great start with openers Robin Uthappa and Ambati Rayudu setting the pace. Despite a couple of quick wickets, India maintained their momentum with a superb 50 from Rayudu and a quick 30 off 16 from Yusuf Pathan.
