India's cricketer Ishan Kishan may face sanctions for violating BCCI logo rules during a local tournament

India's wicket-keeper batsman, Ishan Kishan, has been in the news for the wrong reasons. For refusing to play in the Ranji Trophy despite being fit, he has been removed from the central contract list. Kishan left the South Africa tour midway due to mental fatigue. Although he was requested to play for Jharkhand, he did not comply, leading to action by the BCCI.

Kishan has made another mistake and may face sanctions. The left-handed player is currently participating in the DY Patil T20 tournament for the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Although he did not perform well with the bat, his choice of helmet may draw attention. The helmet he wore featured a BCCI logo, which is not permitted according to the rules and regulations. Players are not allowed to display the board's logo and wear the team's jersey in local competitions.

Players are instructed to cover the logo when wearing their helmets, but Ishan disobeyed.

Tilak Varma, another Indian player, participated in the same tournament but covered the BCCI logo before going out to bat.

During a local tournament, the on-field umpires have the power to stop players from wearing the board's logo, but it seems that even the officials failed to notice Ishan Kishan's helmet.
