James Anderson still has the magic touch at 41

The second day of the 1st Test between England and the West Indies was filled with memorable moments and personal achievements for the English players.

James Anderson, playing in what is expected to be his farewell Test match, proved he still has the magic touch at 41 years old. The legendary fast bowler delivered an iconic opening spell in the second innings, with 29 dot balls and a wicket. The ball that dismissed Kraigg Brathwaite was a thing of beauty, showcasing Anderson's enduring skill.

Interestingly, Brathwaite has been a frequent adversary of Anderson, with their rivalry spanning years. It was particularly significant as Brathwaite was Anderson's 500th Test wicket, achieved at the same venue.

Jamie Smith made an impressive debut, entertaining the crowd with his smooth hitting. Smith scored 50 off 98 balls, and his 70-run knock included a massive six that left the spectators in awe. His performance added to England’s strong position in the match.

England captain Ben Stokes continued to cement his legacy as one of cricket’s greatest all-rounders. By taking the wicket of Mikyle Louis, Stokes reached the milestone of 200+ wickets in Test cricket. Combined with his 6000+ Test runs, Stokes joined an elite group of all-rounders, alongside Jacques Kallis and Sir Garfield Sobers. This achievement underscores Stokes' versatility and impact in the game across all formats.

Day 2 at Lord's Cricket Ground was a testament to the skills and contributions of some of England's finest cricketers, setting the stage for an exciting continuation of the Test match.
