Jason Roy has withdrawn from IPL 2024, and KKR has announced replacement

Kolkata Knight Riders have announced Phil Salt as a replacement for Jason Roy, who withdrew from the Indian Premier League 2024 due to personal reasons. Salt, who represented Delhi Capitals in the previous season, was unsold in the auction. This will be Salt's second season in the tournament.

He has been added to the KKR squad at his reserve price of INR 1.5 crore. In December last year, the England wicket-keeper batsman scored two consecutive T20I hundreds against the West Indies.
