Aiden Markram has expressed his desire to learn from the new Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper, Pat Cummins, after losing the captaincy.
Although Markram has led the Sunrisers Eastern Cape to back-to-back SA20 titles, his Hyderabad team finished last in the 2023 IPL, with only four wins from 14 matches.
Markram told Rapport newspaper that he fully accepts the Sunrisers' decision and is in favour of any decision that will benefit the team:
“It might also help me develop as a leader. I myself might share a tip here and there. And of course, I would want to add value with the bat and try to win matches for Hyderabad if I am selected.”
The Proteas batsman scored 248 runs in 13 IPL matches last year. He averaged 22.54 at a strike rate of 125.88.
