MS Dhoni's last match at Chepauk: Suresh Raina gives a big update

Chennai Super Kings played their final league match against Rajasthan Royals at Chepauk. The defending champions will have to make it to the final to play another match in Chennai. MS Dhoni, CSK's most famous and trusted player, was welcomed back by the fans, many of whom thought this could be his last match at home.

Dhoni has been in the cash-rich league since 2008 and, barring two seasons, will lead the franchise until 2023. Chennai were banned from the league for two years for their owner's involvement in betting.

MSD played for Rising Pune Supergiant for two seasons before returning to the champions after the ban.

Suresh Raina, who spent several years with the Men in Yellow, is close to the former CSK skipper. During the CSK-RR match, former India captain Abhinav Mukund spoke to Raina about Mahi's future if this would be MS Dhoni's last match at Chepauk.

Dhoni has been battling a torn muscle which has limited his playing time this season. He stepped down as captain before the start of the new edition, handing over the armband to Ruturaj Gaikwad.
