In the second match of IPL 2024 between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings, the Kings won the toss and elected to field first. Shikhar Dhawan, who is leading Punjab, stated that they chose to field first because the pitch is new.
Rishabh Pant, who is returning to IPL after missing last year, would have preferred to bat first.
