Rashid Khan returns to form with the spectacular no-look six before IPL 2024

Rashid Khan has recently returned to competitive cricket after a long injury lay-off, and he looks to be in top form. The Afghanistan captain has contributed with both bat and ball in the 3-match T20I series. After breaking the bowling record for best bowling figures by an Afghanistan captain in the first T20I, Rashid showed off his big-hitting skills in the second T20I in Sharjah, hitting a no-look six that went viral on social media.

In the 18th over of Afghanistan's innings, bowled by fast bowler Barry McCarthy, Rashid Khan flicked a low full toss into the deep fine-leg stands. Maintaining his no-look pose, he did not look at the trajectory of the ball. The no-look six recalled MS Dhoni's monstrous hit in a recent Chennai Super Kings training session.

Rashid Khan seems to have loved the no-look six and often plays shots like this where he holds the pose for the camera. Here is the video of the six.

The fans of Rashid Khan and the Gujarat Titans will be thrilled to see the star bowler return to action in style ahead of the IPL 2024. Rashid's availability will be a huge boost for Gujarat Titans, who will be led by Shubman Gill in IPL 2024. Rashid was the deputy to Hardik Pandya in IPL 2023, but Hardik joined Mumbai Indians in a historic trade deal ahead of the upcoming season, which starts on 22 March.

Rashid Khan underwent back surgery in the UK immediately after the ODI World Cup in India and was sidelined for more than four months, missing the T20I series against India in particular.

Rashid Khan and Mumbai Indians recruit Mohammad Nabi were the architects of Afghanistan's victory on Sunday. Nabi played a crucial role in stabilising Afghanistan's batting after an early wobble, smashing a 38-ball 59 with 3 sixes and 6 boundaries. Rashid Khan's cameo knock of 25 from 12 helped Afghanistan post a competitive total of 152/9 from their allotted 20 overs.

With Ireland needing 153 runs to win, Rashid Khan turned the match on its head with a sensational spell of leg-spin bowling. Rashid conceded just 14 runs in his 4-over spell and took four wickets. The three-match T20I series is now level at 1-1.
