Mohammed Siraj was named Player of the Match for his two-wicket haul against Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League 2024. He removed GT openers Wriddhiman Saha (1) and Shubman Gill (2) to put their rivals on the back foot. The Titans couldn't recover from the early setbacks and were bowled out for 147 runs in 19.3 overs.
Chasing 148, RCB looked unstoppable when Faf du Plessis (64) and Virat Kohli (42) added 92 runs for the opening wicket in 5.5 overs. However, the hosts lost six quick wickets but veteran Dinesh Karthik (21 not out) steered his side to a 4-wicket victory.
Meanwhile, Siraj revealed that he was unwell on the day and considering skipping the match against Gujarat Titans:
“It was a big game for me but I was unwell. I was thinking of skipping the match but I thought let’s go for it as it was important for the team.
