RCB vs GT: Virat Kohli abuses Wriddhiman Saha
RCB's Virat Kohli has been the top scorer in the 2024 Indian Premier League. He has scored 542 runs in 11 matches, including 1 hundred and 4 fifties. Kohli scored 42 runs off 27 deliveries against Gujarat Titans. The veteran hit 4 sixes and 2 fours in his entertaining knock. Apart from his innings, Virat's video of abusing Gujarat wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha has gone viral on social media.
The incident took place during RCB's chase in Bengaluru. Saha was seen instructing the bowler to stop the flow of runs in order to close the gap. However, his words did not go down well with Kohli, who verbally abused him.
Beyond his batting, it was Kohli's accurate bowling that ended Shahrukh Khan's promising innings against RCB. The opener scored 37 runs off 24 balls, including 5 fours and 1 six. He paid a heavy price for taking a chance in front of Kohli, who didn't miss the opportunity to hit the stumps.
Virat Kohli also added 92 runs in 5.5 overs with captain Faf du Plessis (64). Their partnership was the main reason for RCB's four-wicket win.
Earlier, Gujarat Titans were bowled out for 147. Mohammed Siraj was adjudged the player of the match after taking two wickets against the Shubman Gill-led franchise.
