While known for his humorous banter from behind the stumps, Pant was still a young player, but he received praise for how he handled Paine and the banter.
In a recent episode of the Club Prairie Fire podcast, Pant expressed his opinion on Michael Vaughan's social media activities, saying, 'You are focusing too much on social media instead of playing the game.'
When asked about Adam Gilchrist, the Indian wicketkeeper's response was top-class:
“Adam Gilchrist is in his zone when he is batting so there is hardly anything you can do with him. So nothing much I can say to him.”
Pant has been cleared to play for Delhi Capitals in the 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League. He suffered multiple injuries in a car accident in December 2022 and missed last season. The left-handed batter has now recovered and is back on the field.
