Rishabh Pant shared a playful anecdote about his attempt to unsettle Virat Kohli during an IPL 2024 match last month. Despite being sidelined due to a one-match ban, Pant couldn't resist trying to disrupt Kohli's focus from the dressing room as Delhi Capitals faced Royal Challengers Bangalore in a crucial encounter on May 15.

Kohli, in scintillating form, was on his way to another substantial score when he fell to Ishant Sharma. However, during his innings, Kohli noticed Pant's antics from the sidelines, which included playful banter and attempts to rattle him. Pant, in hindsight, revealed that his actions were spontaneous, starting as an accident but escalating into intentional teasing.

Reflecting on the incident, Pant humorously admitted that he didn't allow Kohli the chance to respond, quickly retreating from the situation. Kohli, in the heat of the moment, was seen reacting to Pant's antics with a playful threat, adding to the light-hearted exchange between the two.

Pant's ban stemmed from his team's slow over-rate during a previous match against the Rajasthan Royals, resulting in a one-match suspension and a fine of INR 30 lakh.
