Rohit mentioned that everything he did post-victory was instinctive, showing how deeply he was feeling at the moment and the significance of the pitch where they secured the title.
Despite the victory, Rohit admitted that the surreal feeling of winning the World Cup hasn't fully registered with him yet. He described the experience as feeling like a dream that hasn't quite sunk in, despite the reality of their achievement.
Rohit shared that the team celebrated extensively after the win, enjoying the moment until the early hours of the morning. He acknowledged not having slept well but expressed no concern, prioritising soaking in every minute and second of their victory celebration.
Shortly after the victory, Rohit Sharma, along with Virat Kohli, announced his retirement from international T20 matches. At 37, he is the format's highest scorer for India, with numerous achievements including winning the inaugural T20 World Cup in 2007 and continuing to contribute significantly to the team's success over the years.
