Rohit Sharma shared his insights about the T20 World Cup against SA

During the T20 World Cup 2024 final against South Africa, India captain Rohit Sharma shared his insights on the tense moments in the last five overs of the match. With South Africa needing just 30 runs off the last 30 balls and six wickets in hand, Heinrich Klaasen was dominating the Indian spinners with a quick 23-ball fifty.

Rohit admitted that he was blank during this crucial period but emphasised the importance of staying focused and calm to execute their plans effectively. He highlighted the team's ability to remain composed under pressure, which ultimately led to their victory.

Despite facing the daunting task of defending just 29 runs in the last five overs, India's bowlers, led by Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, and Arshdeep Singh, stepped up to the challenge. Bumrah's tight final over and key wicket of Marco Jansen, along with crucial contributions from Pandya and Singh, ensured India's triumph by seven runs.

The victory not only secured India's T20 World Cup 2024 title but also ended their 11-year drought of ICC trophies.
