Royal Challengers Bangalore won the WPL 2024 title with an 8-wicket victory over Delhi Capitals

Royal Challengers Bangalore women won the Women’s Premier League title by defeating Delhi Capitals women by 8 wickets. This victory comes in just the tournament’s second season, while their men’s team is still winless in the IPL.

The bowlers did not allow the rival batters to break free at any stage of the game, setting up a memorable win.

Captain Smriti Mandhana and Sophie Devine added crucial runs for the franchise while Ellyse Perry remained unbeaten as RCB crossed the finishing line.

Following a 64-run partnership between captain Mag Lanning (23) and Shafali Verma (44), none of the other players made significant contributions. Jemimah Rodrigues (0) and Alice Capsey (0) failed to score.

Mandhana scored 31 and partnered with Sophie Devine to add 49 runs. Sophie scored 32 off 27 balls, including 5 fours and 1 six, before being dismissed. Perry's unbeaten 35 ensured that DC did not make a comeback. Richa Ghosh also remained unbeaten, scoring 17.
