Sai Sudharsan becomes the fastest Indian player to score 1,000 runs in the IPL

Gujarat Titans' Sai Sudharsan made history against Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League 2024. He became the fastest Indian batsman to score 1000 runs in the tournament.

The left-hander broke Sachin Tendulkar's record in the cash-rich league. He needed 25 innings to reach the landmark, 6 less than the legendary Indian batsman.

Sai has been one of the most consistent performers for the 2022 champions, adding vital runs alongside captain Shubman Gill.

Gill and Sudharsan shared a 200-run partnership. The left-hander was dismissed after scoring 103 runs off 51 balls, packed with 7 sixes and 5 fours.

Shubman scored 104 runs off 55 deliveries with the help of 9 fours and 6 sixes.
