Sarfaraz Khan blew flying kiss to his wife

Sarfaraz Khan, a young batsman, shone in the final test and celebrated with a flying kiss

Sarfaraz Khan performed exceptionally well in the fifth and final Test of the series, scoring another fifty. After achieving the feat, the right-handed batsman celebrated his third Test fifty by blowing a flying kiss to his family who were present at the HPCA stadium in Dharamsala on the second day of the 5th Test between India and England. Sarfaraz reached his fifty in just 55 deliveries, hitting the England bowlers all over the park on Friday. He did so to the delight of the crowd and his team.

Head coach Rahul Dravid and batting coach Vikram Rathour applauded the young batter's effort as he hit 8 boundaries and a six. Sarfaraz and debutant Devdutt Padikkal added a 90-plus partnership for the 4th wicket, which was commendable considering India were in trouble after losing well-set Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill in quick succession after the Lunch break on Day 2.

Sarfaraz Khan has made a remarkable start to his Test career, hitting three fifties in as many Tests. Despite his twin failures in the 4th Test in Ranchi, where he managed just 14 runs and got out for a first-ball duck in a tense chase in the final innings last month, Sarfaraz seemed to have put behind the disappointment of Ranchi and converted a start into another landmark in the 5th Test in Dharamsala.

Sarfaraz Khan celebrated his fifty at the HPCA Stadium by raising his bat and blowing a flying kiss to his family and friends. The emotional celebration was captured by TV cameras.

Sarfaraz Khan became only the third man, after Dilawar Hussain and Sunil Gavaskar, to hit twin fifties on his Test debut for India in the 3rd Test in Rajkot. He was joined by his father and wife at an emotional cap presentation ceremony in Rajkot, after which he let his bat do the talking.

Sarfaraz's confident approach to his knock would have given the dressing room a lot of joy. He also showed no fear in taking on the express pace of Wood and the England spinners. Sarfaraz played an impressive upper-cut over the slip cordon, hitting a 146 KpH delivery from Mark Wood into the stands.

During the second session of the match, Sarfaraz and Devdutt led India to a score of 376 for 3. At Tea on Day 2, Sarfaraz remained unbeaten on 56 while Devdutt was unbeaten on 44 off 77 balls.
