Sarfaraz Khan reported that his Instagram follower count increased from 600K to 1.5 million after his Test debut against England

Sarfaraz Khan is a jovial character who enjoys having fun with his teammates on the field. During the Test series against England, the young player was seen socialising with the Indian team. He recently mentioned the increase in his Instagram followers after making his Test debut against England in Rajkot.

The right-handed batter scored two fifties in the third game of the series and was praised for his aggressive batting. He became part of the league of legendary Indian batters who scored half-centuries in their debut Test. After an ordinary fourth Test in Ranchi, he returned to form in the fifth contest in Dharamsala, hitting an aggressive fifty in the only innings he played.

During the five-match series against England, five players made their debuts, including the Mumbai-based batter. Sarfaraz Khan, who is quite active on social media, stated during an India Today conclave that his Instagram follower count had been stuck at 600k-700k for the past few years. However, after making his Test debut, it rose to 1.5 million.

He frequently posts videos and updates of his net sessions and games.

He recently apologised to Sunil Gavaskar after the veteran criticised him for playing a reckless shot in the final Test against the Ben Stokes-led team. Gavaskar threw his wicket away with the first ball after tea and was upset with him. Gavaskar apologised and promised not to repeat the mistake when Khan was informed of his reaction.
