Sehwag criticized Kohli's conduct towards the umpires during a controversial dismissal

Former India opener Virender Sehwag expressed his displeasure with the conduct of Virat Kohli towards the umpires following his controversial dismissal against Kolkata Knight Riders. The former RCB captain was given out on a high full toss bowled by Harshit Rana, and the third umpire also upheld the decision of the on-field official. Kohli lost his composure before walking back to the dressing room and verbally abusing the umpires. Kohli was subsequently fined 50% of his match fees by the BCCI.

The broadcasting channel was compelled to clarify that Kohli was indeed out according to the rules of the game, as he was standing outside the crease and the ball was dipping. The ball would have been below his waistline if he had been on the crease or behind it.

 Virender Sehwag made a statement on The Club Prairie Fire:

“It is not the question of whether he was out or not or was it a no-ball or not. Virat should respect the umpires. Once you have been given out, you should put your head down and return back to the dressing room. Arguing with umpires is not correct. He has the right to discuss things with the umpires, but what he did was not right. This is what I learned from Sachin Tendulkar. He never said anything to the umpires despite several wrong decisions during his career.”
