Shepherd continued to trouble the Capitals, dismissing David Warner in the fourth over with a well-executed slower ball that was hit straight to mid-on.
Prithvi Shaw had a slow start, scoring only 13 runs off 15 balls in the first four overs, but quickly found his rhythm. He smashed three consecutive boundaries, including a six, off Piyush Chawla in the eighth over. Shaw reached his half-century off just 31 balls with a powerful four off Gerald Coetzee's bowling.
Shaw, along with Abishek Porel, took the Capitals past 100 in the 11th over, but Bumrah ended his innings on 66 with a searing yorker that uprooted the leg stump.
