Singh Reflects on His Performance and Passion for Red-Ball Cricket

In the 2nd T20I against Bangladesh at Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium, Rinku Singh showcased his batting prowess with a remarkable 53 runs off just 29 balls, revealing that his affinity for red-ball cricket played a significant role in his performance. The 26-year-old batsman boasts an impressive first-class average of nearly 54, having scored seven centuries in 48 matches. He credits this background for helping him excel in high-pressure situations, akin to batting fifth or sixth when wickets tumble in domestic games.

Rinku's explosive innings contributed greatly to India's commanding 86-run victory, their largest win margin against Bangladesh. Highlighting the connection between his T20 and first-class success, he stated, "I keep backing myself and focus on scoring runs for the team, pulling the team out of difficult situations."
