SRH captain Pat Cummins demonstrated his sportsmanship by withdrawing his appeal for obstructing the field against Ravindra Jadeja
Australian cricketers are known for their aggressive playing style and determination. However, during the IPL 2024 match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad, Pat Cummins, who was leading SRH in
the 17th season, demonstrated his sportsmanship by withdrawing the obstructing the field against Ravindra Jadeja. The third umpire would have given the CSK all-rounder out as he initially obstructed the ball, which was heading towards the stumps. He changed his movement, and the ball hit him, but he managed to survive the run-out.
The incident occurred in the 19th over of the CSK innings. Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled a yorker, and Jadeja came out of the crease to block it. The ball went back to the bowler, who tried to hit the stumps, but Jadeja blocked his way, and the SRH appealed against the rival player. The SRH appealed, but Cummins decided to go ahead and withdraw.
