Stallions secured a dominant 174-run victory over Dolphins, handing them their third straight defeat in the tournament, where all seven matches have been won by teams batting first.
Stallions posted 271 for 7, led by Babar Azam's unbeaten 104 off 100 balls and Yasir Khan’s 46. In response, Dolphins crumbled for just 97, with Jahandad Khan taking 3 for 18 and Mehran Mumtaz claiming 3 for 14.
After opting to bat first, Stallions began steadily with a 76-run opening partnership between Shan Masood and Yasir Khan. Dolphins briefly slowed the scoring when Faheem Ashraf removed Masood, followed by Yasir’s dismissal, but Babar anchored the innings superbly. His partnership of 57 with Tayyab Tahir set the platform for a late surge. Babar accelerated in the final 10 overs, smashing 54 off 35 balls, including three sixes and three fours, as Stallions finished on 271.
Dolphins' chase faltered immediately when Jahandad Khan dismissed Muhammad Hurraira for a duck in the second ball of the innings. By his third over, Jahandad had removed Umar Amin, reducing Dolphins to 15 for 2. Though Sahibzada Farhan and Saud Shakeel showed brief resistance, Jahandad struck again, clean-bowling Shakeel.
Haris Rauf then dismantled the middle order by taking two quick wickets, leaving Dolphins at 60 for 5. The lower order offered no fight against the spin of Abrar Ahmed and Mehran Mumtaz, who claimed five wickets between them as Dolphins were bowled out for 97, sealing their fate in the tournament.
