Sunrisers Hyderabad won their Indian Premier League 2024 match against Punjab Kings by 2 runs. Chasing 183 runs, Punjab saw flashes of brilliance from Sam Curran and Sikandar Raza, but neither was able to carry the day for their franchise.

Shashank Singh and Ashutosh Sharma played another magnificent innings for Punjab, but it was not enough. The hosts posted 180/6 in their 20 overs.

Earlier, Sunrisers were rescued by Nitish Kumar Reddy, who scored 64 runs off 37 balls with five sixes and four fours. The visitors posted 182/9 in their 20 overs.

Arshdeep Singh took four wickets for Punjab. Sam Curran and Harshal Patel took two wickets apiece. Punjab has won just two matches in the 17th edition of the competition.
