Suryakumar returns for Delhi, who won the toss and elected to bowl first against Mumbai Indians
Rishabh Pant has won the toss and elected to bowl first against Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League 2024. According to Pant, the Wankhede Stadium is known for its chase-friendly pitch, which is why they have decided to bowl first. He emphasized the importance of teamwork in winning matches, stating that individual brilliance is not enough. Pant also expressed his growing confidence with each passing match.
Hardik Pandya would have also bowled if given the chance:
“We would have bowled first as well, as the ball will not come nicely on the bat in the afternoon in comparison to batting in the evening. There is pressure on us, but we know one win can change everything. It is important to stick together.”
Additionally, Suryakumar Yadav is playing his first game of the 17th season.
