Suryakumar Yadav praised Richa Ghosh for her impressive batting performance in the WPL 2024 match against Delhi Capitals.

Despite RCB's one-run loss, Richa played exceptionally well, scoring 51 runs off 29 balls with 4 fours and 3 sixes. Her efforts were not enough to secure a win for her team. Following 40 overs of intense action, the Bangalore-based franchise lost the match by a single run at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.

After Richa's sensational batting display, SKY consoled the 20-year-old and wrote on social media, 'You are a star.'

In pursuit of a target of 182 runs, RCB required 17 runs from the final six deliveries. Richa struck a six off Jess Jonassen's bowling. Jonassen bowled a dot ball, and on the third delivery, Disha Kasat was run out. Richa scored two runs on the fourth ball and hit a six on the fifth. With only two runs needed off the final delivery, she attempted a single but was run out, leaving her team in a state of shock.

Richa was heartbroken when Jonassen and Jemimah Rodrigues approached her while she was sitting on the pitch. Shreyanka Patil, the other batter, was also seen crying.
