The BCCI has released the full schedule for IPL 2024, with the final match scheduled to take place in Chennai on May 26
Following the announcement of the Lok Sabha Election dates by the Election Commission of India, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released the complete schedule for the Indian Premier League 2024. To avoid any clash with the general elections of India, the governing body of the IPL initially announced the schedule for the first 21 matches.
According to Arun Dhumal, the chairman of IPL, the tournament will not be held outside the country. Additionally, the second and final phase of the schedule reveals that Delhi Capitals will play their remaining games at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The final match of the 17th season will not take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium, as the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium has been selected to host the event.
The Qualifier 2 will also be held in Chennai. Ahmedabad will host Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator.
The tournament's second phase includes 49 league matches and four playoff games, with the final taking place on May 26.
Qualifier 1, Qualifier 2, and the Eliminator will be played on May 21, May 22, and May 24, respectively.
