The match between India and Sri Lanka has been revised

BCCI has revised the schedule for the upcoming Sri Lanka tour, announcing changes through a social media update on Saturday (July 13). The three-match ODI series between India and Sri Lanka, originally set to commence on August 1, will now start on August 2nd.

Similarly, adjustments have been made to the three-match T20I series. Initially scheduled to kick off on July 26, the first T20I match will now be played on July 27.

Gautam Gambhir will make his debut as head coach during this tour, which is also expected to mark the return of players like Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan to the national team fold. Shreyas Iyer, currently captaining the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL, is strongly anticipated to feature in the Sri Lanka series.

India's squad for the Sri Lanka tour will be finalised next week. In the absence of Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul is likely to lead the ODI team, while Hardik Pandya is expected to captain the T20 side.
