Mumbai Indians batsman Suryakumar Yadav's latest Instagram story has his fans worried. It has raised concerns about his participation in the upcoming IPL 2024 season. SKY, who has not played a single match since December 2023 due to injuries, is expected to miss the initial games for MI in IPL 2024.
He was sidelined by an ankle injury and sports hernia in his last match, scoring a remarkable century in the T20I series against South Africa. Both injuries have required surgery. He underwent surgery on his groin in Munich in January. Recently, Yadav posted a cryptic message on his Instagram story, sharing an emoji of a broken heart. This has led many to believe that the star batsman will not be cleared to participate in the first phase of the IPL.
It is worth noting that SKY was scheduled to undergo a fitness test at the NCA on March 19. Fans are speculating that he may not have been cleared to participate in the lucrative league.
Yadav was unable to participate in India's last T20I event before the T20 World Cup in June, the home series against Afghanistan. Although he attempted to return to action in the DY Patil T20 Cup last month, he was unable to recover in time.
