Umran Malik arrived in Hyderabad on Tuesday, 5 days ahead of the Indian Premier League 2024, to join Sunrisers Hyderabad's pre-season camp. Malik, one of the fastest bowlers, is eager for the upcoming season.
He impressed everyone with his brilliant performance in the 2022 tournament, taking 22 wickets in 14 matches.
However, he struggled in 2023 and was even benched by the 2016 champions. He only played eight matches, taking five wickets at an economy rate of 11. The speedster was dropped from the Indian team due to inconsistent performances.
Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has recently signed Umran Malik as their fast bowler.
Umran Malik said:
“I am feeling good. I want to do well for our supporters and show them that we are here to win. Inshallah, we will see you soon on the field and perform for you.”
