Virat Kohli proudly displayed his Bengali talents after receiving a thoughtful gift from Bangladesh all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz following the India vs. Bangladesh Test series. The former Indian captain appeared to be fully embracing the festivities of Durga Puja and delighted fans with his efforts in speaking Bengali in a widely shared video.
In the clip, Mehidy Hasan presents Kohli with a bat from their MKS brand, sharing, "We had been waiting to gift Virat bhai a bat made by us. We finally got the chance, and he really liked it." Kohli’s response in Bengali, "MKS bat khoob bhalo achhi [The MKS bat is very good]," elicited laughter from those present.
In the engaging video, he further complimented the bat, saying, "Bohot acha bat hai. [It is a very good bat]. Very good bats. Wish you all the best and keep doing the good work. Bohot ache bats bana rahe ho aap log [You guys are making very good bats]. Aise hi banaate raho, sab cricketer log ko ache quality ka samaan do [Keep making such quality products and provide good gear to all the cricketers]."
Rohit Sharma, the Indian captain, also received a bat from Mehidy and praised the Bangladesh player for launching his own bat company alongside friends, wishing him tremendous success. I hope his company excels beyond others," Rohit stated.
