What happens if India refuses to play against Pakist CC Champions Trophy 2025?

The BCCI has reportedly declined to travel to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The scheduled draft had India playing all their matches in Lahore for safety reasons, but the BCCI is pushing for venues like Sri Lanka and Dubai instead.

If India pulls out of the Champions Trophy 2025 in Pakistan, another team may take their place. Sri Lanka, based on ICC rankings, is likely to replace India in the tournament. The last time India played in Pakistan was in 2008, with a bilateral series between the two countries discontinued since 2013.

A BCCI source mentioned that India will not go to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy and will request matches to be held in Dubai or Sri Lanka instead. The final decision on India's participation will depend on approval from the central government, as stated by BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla earlier in May.
