How Do Indian Cricketers Dance After Winning?

As the Indian cricket team arrived at the Wankhede Stadium after participating in a magnificent victory parade to celebrate their victory in the Twenty20 World Cup, they were greeted with a warm and passionate greeting.

After revelling in the love and support of an enormous crowd that had halted Mumbai traffic on Marine Drive all the way from Nariman Point's National Centre of Performing Arts (NCPA) to the illustrious Waknade Stadium, Rohit Sharma's winning squad received an even more magnificent welcome.

Even the Indian National Team Players Were Shocked by Such Attention

The Indian players were dumbfounded when they observed a celebration of this size, which had not taken place in the previous seventeen years. A victory parade on an open bus occurred for the first time in 2007, following the victory of the squad captained by MS Dhoni in the very first World Twenty20 event. This was the most recent instance of such a parade.

This particular celebration had a special place in the hearts of the Indian cricketers, despite the fact that they are accustomed to getting a great deal of love and respect from their supporters. Supporters enthusiastically yelled their names at the top of their lungs during this celebration.

As Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Indian squad, led his men into the ground while proudly clutching the prized Twenty20 World Cup trophy, the audience went absolutely berserk.

Followers who had been patiently waiting for a considerable amount of time were rewarded with a new point of view about the Indian players. Rather than the usual level of intensity during the game, there was a lovely display of friendly companionship, which resulted in a moment that the ardent supporters will never forget.

The National Team Players Showed How They Can Dance

The players went above and beyond to provide the spectators with an experience that they would never forget. They entertained the audience with patriotic songs such as "Vande Mataram". They danced to the energetic beats of local Marathi "dhol-tasha" performers, producing an ambience that was genuinely one of a kind and unforgettable.

The Indian players' emotional rendition of Vande Mataram, performed in sync with thousands of spectators, brought back a flood of memories from the 2011 One-Day International World Cup.

An additional event that stood out during the evening was the lively dance performance by the Indian cricket players. The festivities were kicked off with exciting dancing routines performed by the captain, Rohit Sharma, and the previous captain, Virat Kohli. The rest of the squad excitedly joined in on the celebration.

Keep an Eye on Those Impressive Moves

The BCCI uploaded a video of the same with the message, "Keep an eye on those impressive moves." The video was posted on the BCCI's official social media platforms. The atmosphere at Wankhede was just extraordinary last night.

The dance routines of Indian cricketers struck a profound chord with the spectators, since they matched the type of dancing that is typically done in India. Disregard contemporary or urban dance forms such as locking-popping or modern dancing, since the "Bharati dance" is the most cherished type of dance in the majority of the country.

To a greater extent than any other kind of art, this specific type of dance is able to bring the people of India together despite their geographical distance. One might make the case that it is the second most popular sport, right after cricket.

Considering the significance of this artistic expression across the nation, it is about time that we honour its value and formally declare it the national dance of India.
