Ambati Rayudu identifies an Indian bowler who is best avoided before an IPL match

Indian bowlers have performed exceptionally well in the Indian Premier League. The likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammed Shami, Mohit Sharma, and many others have been setting new records in the cash-rich league season after season. Former player Ambati Rayudu has identified an Indian bowler who can be dangerous for batters if they talk to him before the contest.

Rayudu was referring to Rajasthan Royals spinner Yuzvendra Chahal. Yuzi is the highest wicket-taker in the history of the Indian Premier League, with 193 wickets in 149 games.

Rayudu stated that Chahal is the most dangerous bowler as he anticipates the opponent's moves before the game and uses them to his advantage.

“If you are a batter, you shouldn’t talk a lot to Yuzvendra Chahal because if you do, he will put you into trouble during the game. He is a chess player and reads the mind of batters before the contest and then plans their downfall.”

In three IPL 2024 games, he has taken six wickets, three of which were in the previous match against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium. Surprisingly, he does not have a central contract and is no longer a part of Indian cricket in any format.
