The BCCI on Thursday, February 29 announced an updated squad for the fifth and final Test starting on March 7 at Dharmshala. Unfortunately, KL Rahul, who missed the last three matches with a quadriceps injury, has been ruled out of the series and will travel to England for medical treatment.
After taking a break in the fourth match to manage his workload, Jasprit Bumrah has returned to the side. Meanwhile, Washington Sundar has been released from the squad to be part of Tamil Nadu's squad for the Ranji Trophy semi-finals.
It is worthy of note that Tamil Nadu will be up against Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy semi-finals at the MCA Cricket Ground on March 2.
